The youth migration service (Jugendmigrationsdienst JMD) supports young people with a migratory background between the ages of 12 to 27 years by providing individual offers and professional support with their integration-processes in Germany. The youth migration services are suported by the federal ministry for family, senior citizens, women and youth (BMFSFJ).
Target groups::
- Young people with a migration history between the ages of 12 and 27 years
- Parents of children with a migration history to promote their parenting skills, especially in regards to questions concerning education/ vocational training of their children
- Employees, institutions and voluntary initiatives in social networks which are relevant to migrants
Objectives
- Improving their chances of integration in the linguistic, educational, occupational and social areas
- Promoting equal opportunities
- Promoting the participation of young migrants in all areas of the social, cultural and political life
